Founded out of a passion for using creativity as a tool for education, healing, and community transformation, what started as a love for art evolved into a mission to create spaces where people of all ages can learn, connect, and thrive through creative expression.

The Beginning

Every masterpiece begins with a blank canvas. Mine began with a simple love for creativity. As I grew as an artist, I realized that art was never simply about producing beautiful paintings.

The Discovery

Every brushstroke carried the potential to tell stories, inspire hope, encourage healing, and bring people together. Children who rarely spoke began expressing themselves confidently.

The Transformation

Teams that barely interacted started laughing, collaborating, and solving problems together. Families rediscovered the joy of creating side by side.

The Dream

A dream to build a creative ecosystem where people of every age and background could discover their gifts, strengthen relationships, and experience personal growth through creativity. That dream became Qrafty Hive.

Born on 23 August 1997 in Agago District, Northern Uganda. Raised in the Namuwongo community of Kampala. Bachelor’s Degree in Art & Design (2024).

Community roots

The Beginning

Born on 23 August 1997 in Agago District, Northern Uganda, Steven’s early life was shaped by resilience. His family relocated to Kampala in search of safety and opportunity, settling in the Namuwongo community, where perseverance, hard work, and hope became the values that would define his character. Growing up in modest circumstances taught him that adversity is not a limitation but a foundation upon which purpose can be built.

Reflection and perseverance

A Defining Loss

In 2012, while preparing for his Primary Leaving Examinations, Steven experienced the profound loss of his father. Despite the emotional weight of that season, he remained committed to his education. This defining experience strengthened his resilience and shaped a leadership philosophy grounded in courage, perseverance, and purpose.

Art as a voice

Finding His Voice

As a naturally reserved student, Steven often struggled to express himself. Everything changed when a teacher recognized his artistic potential and encouraged him to pursue creativity. Art became more than a subject—it became his voice. Through drawing, design, and creative expression, he discovered confidence, built meaningful relationships, and realized that creativity has the power to communicate where words often cannot.

Mentoring and empowering creatives

Education & Purpose

His passion for art led him to excel throughout secondary school before earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Art & Design in 2024. Alongside his professional journey, he has devoted himself to mentoring children, empowering young creatives, and designing transformative experiences that inspire learning, collaboration, and personal growth.
